Would you read this book?

I might also call it "The Beta Bachelor".

I don't know, just an idea I've been kicking around.

(Edit 4/21: Thanks for all the responses!  I guess with the mixed/lukewarm reviews, I'll put the concept on the back burner for a while, refine the idea a few more times, and maybe pull it back out again later in a new form.)

  2. i have bin thinking about this for a few days and i came up with a few suggestions.I would assume every girl would have their own personalitys, right? so what if you had the reader decide what girl they want. You would have to make an ending for every girl. If 10 different endings sounds like to much, i would cut the amount of girls down to 5.If there was only one ending all i could think about is what if he went with girl X instead of girl Y.

    1. You could even make a CYOA out of it.

    2. the thing about CYOAs is that the quality will suffer.because the sheer amount of text that needs to be written. If you want a story with branching paths, i would go with the visual novel rout considering they use images to describe the situations(the good ones at least)

    3. You clearly haven't read an actually good CYOA, sir. Visual Novels have so much massively wasted fluff writing, even the good ones are an absolute chore to get through.

    4. @Miles: Yes, making each girl different AND interesting would be the challenge- there's only so many personalities a hurricane can have.

@Anonymous: A Choose Your Own Adventure was actually one way I had briefly thought about going with this, but I couldn't find a voice/tone to make a 2nd person novel work in my head. I'd probably just write it 3rd person, and when the main character picks one girl at the end, he'll always have to wonder what could have been.

  3. I'm not totally convinced it'll work. I mean... it feels there's a lot of different fetishes there to fit into one book.

    1. Yep, one of my worries too. This would have been 30K words easy! Thanks for the comment!

  4. I would prefer something involving sex magic and incest.

  5. I think your idea might work with a good premise. For instance, as a bachelor his mother should hold the key. The eligible girl would meet with the mother. It would be up to mom to decide if she would give the key to the girl. Once she did then the girl would hold the key as long as she dated him. If she didn't want to date any more then the key would go back to mom. This way you could cycle through as many different types of girls as you wanted although only one at a time.

    1. Possibly. I was thinking more like a dating show where ALL the girls were competing for our locked-up Stud at the same time.

Anyway, good take and thanks for your comment!

  6. It would be a very different proposition with me choosing Woman 8 or having my Mum choose Her. Being Black She would want my BBC.Femsup

  7. Are you thinking dating/reality show? Anime-ish harem romance? Something else?

    1. I never thought about how much dating shows like "The Bachelor" ARE anime harem romances until your comment right now, Anon, but yes! The fun would have been the reader and the main character (the Bachelor) discovering at the same time how each woman was great (loves cute femdom) and horrible (REALLY loves femdom) in some way, and being under greater and greater pressure to choose one as his chastity got longer and longer. Oh, and seeing the different women vie for his attention in their own unique ways, turning him on and making him gasp at the same time.

Oh well, just an idea to keep in the idea pile for now, I guess.

    2. You could have your patreon follows get to vote which girl gets sent home at the end of each day.

  8. There might be potential here . . .or maybe not. There are "pick a keyholder" choose-you-own-adventures (CYOAs) floating around out there. Don't know if there's an actual story, though.
