ReplyDeleteAs for the problem? Just switch to a subscription model. Rather than post your stories to Patreon, set up a password protected website, and change the password monthly (or whatever). Then send out the new password to your Patreon backers.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about SubscribeStar or OnlyFans, but the only mainstream book site that is tolerant is SmashWords. A few years back they even took on PayPal.
SmashWords allow you to issue coupons, so maybe something like a paid newsletter list where you give coupons to subscribers for free or discount prices on SmashWords, could be a way forward.
That way you might also make a little more money from full prices sales on SmashWords to non-subscribers.
That might be something... I used to make my main money off of Smashwords before I went to Patreon... but I don’t know if the coupons would add anything in this case, it seems like an unnecessary step to somehow charge people separately for Patreon-like features and then give them coupons to Smashwords too.
DeleteIf I go back to Smashwords I’d probably do a flat $2 for every book and just use the blog to have everyone equally suggest and vote on new ideas in a true Universal Basic Erotic Income (UBEI) system.
