The world is changing, and we must change with it.
Going forward, you'll see fewer text-only stories on here, and more images and artwork I draw.
It took me 9 MONTHS to go from UNLOCKED 1 to 5- and although I love that story, I can make a new artwork in 2-5 days. Here's one I made just this week:

A LOT of commenters have said they check my blog every day or a few times a week- as much as I love that enthusiasm, just know that I'm only going to put out a new text story MAYBE every 3-6 months. But I might do a pin-up like the above every week or two. So please set proper expectations.I've been writing for 20 years now, only drawing for 2; I'd like to see what I can do in this new medium. Wordless pin-ups tell an entire story in just a GLANCE, and I want to explore what I can do with that. There may also be some captions and chastity choices, you all will have to tell me what's most fun.
This brings us to the second and final change:
AI
So I hate using AI for art. Hate it. AI to detect cancer from 100,000 scans faster than humans? Sure. That's great. But AI to create ART, something with EMOTION and SOUL? Hate it. It's just regurgitating bad old ideas it's been fed in souless, confusing, mechanical ways. Hate it. I'm never going to use it.But I also know we can't stop it. It's out of the bottle now.
So, I hereby tell ALL my readers:
- Knowing that I will NEVER get to ALL the story ideas you have submitted,
- Knowing that I HATE AI even though we can no longer stop it,
Also, please don't put my digital IMAGES into AI just yet, it would break my heart if a machine started making better images than I could, when I have so many more stories to tell.
That's the end of the update, hope you guys loved UNLOCKED as much as I did, but look for more digital art in the future. And after I get my legs under me, I'll start taking your ideas on what to draw, just like I used to for our text stories!

ReplyDeleteI gave up on art for about 15 years between the end of college until a little before the COVID lock downs myself, when I decided to pick up the pen once more, this time going digital. Getting back into art has been one way I've tried reinvigorating my creativity even as my writing lagged more and more. Unfortunately, it seems my ability to do art is as sporadic as my ability to write, but whatever.
Rediscovering drawing years later, I could kick myself for ever giving it up, but even if I only get to it sporadically, it's been a real eye-opening experience, in really learning the craft in ways I never appreciated when I was younger (I feel like I can really SEE and EXPERIENCE how art is constructed now, whereas before I never really developed the appreciation due to impatience to reach the end product.) Now, I enjoy constructing the piece almost more than the end result itself!
It's amazing how quickly one can learn it, too, if one sticks to it and tries a variety of techniques. You're ability to self-discipline into knuckling down and putting your all into your crafts is admirable. You've made great strides in the short time you've been drawing.
As for AI... yeah. It's making a real mess of things. And I don't think we really know just where it's going, either.
I know, right? It's like drawing is a second shot in the arm of creativity for us erotic authors!
DeleteWhat's interesting is finding ways to render the 'Magic' effect without obscuring all the other details behind wispy clouds- if you find any tutorials or publish your own stuff on Deviant Art, let all the rest of us know!
Well, I haven't done actual E-art for a couple years now (have mostly focused on other subjects), so what I've got to show there is stuff from when I was just getting back into it. You can see it on my Captioned Images Blog, under the Original Art label. (I'd link it, but I don't trust Blogspot to not flag links as spam.)
DeleteFor magical effects, I focus on line-work moreso than airbrush-auras. You can see examples in my images, but if I want a feather spell, I'll draw a ghostly feather. Handjob spell, I'll draw a ghostly hand.
Despite getting back into drawing, most of my E-art has still been in using 3D. I made some comics, a few of which I used special effects built into the engines to create spell visuals. Unfortunately, this can be tricky to get looking good without obscuring too much, but one can also do post-process editing on the image to draw in effects that match lighting in the scene.
I hope you are not burnt out Dee, I have been reading your stories' for over ten years and really enjoy your work please keep at it we all will support you best we can!!!

ReplyDeleteI can understand if you're feeling a bit burned out after writing so much, but I hope you don't go 100% art. You're one of the best chastity/femdom authors still writing, and have a real gift for handling the less raunchy, more vanilla scenes that build up to a good denouement.
In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing a series of short story/vignettes in that vein from you. Think romcom or teen drama. The third date, where she pulls out a cock cage and asks the guy to go steady. High school girls invite a boy from school to go skinnydipping, and he's caged. Dinner at the male chastity equivalent of Hooters. Meeting the parents, when your family isn't into chastity and they are.
Long stories are fun, but there's a place for quick one-and-done stories, too.
Thanks for saying that! I love chastity and CFNM stories, but even 'short' ones are one month of me giving up all my evenings and weekends to write at 10,000 to 15,000 word story, not going to movies, not seeing my friends or having other hobbies, just to get to the quality level that I want to read.
DeleteIt's always a labor of love, but maybe I'll look into having a Patreon again, because an extra $500 or $1000 every month would really help out right about now.
